"if you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything", m. twain

I realize I've been a bad blogger lately. Not only are there a lack of posts, but the quality of my posts has left a lot to be desired.

I've been busy with life lately, and it's been quite a ride.

Two days ago would've been my parents 48th wedding anniversary, and my Mother had a very rough day. We both miss my Dad tremendously, but it's much harder on her because she is alone. We're having a big get-together Saturday, and many of Mom's best friends and cousins will be there. (Sidenote: When we first started planning this bbq I had no idea it would become so big. Half of the guests are senior citizens, so I'll have to be on my best behavior, and by "best behavior", I mean "not drunk".)

There's been other things that have turned out to be more than o.k.. I've learned lessons. There's finally light in a place that's been very dark, and everything will be fine because I am loved.

I'm actually more than all right.

As Mr. Sinatra would say, the best is yet to come.

I'll try to post some pictures next week. They may not be swanky pics from a Lyle Lovett concert or a bar, but - you know what? - they'll probably be much, much classier.

Party on, blogosphere. I hope you're all doing swell. Please feel free to drop me a comment or email from time to time. Have a happy and safe Labor Day weekend.

If I ever need to travel incognito, and you're checking with every hotel in town in an attempt to find me, just ask for "Sally Allbright".
